To celebrate the ultimate showman, The Amazing Steve and his lovely assistant Wyoming, we commissioned a special limited edition poster of the two most memorable, unforgettable, electrifying characters from the film “Splinterheads”. In the vein of the classic Houdini adverts, artist Steve Dressler has turned the death defying stunt “Deep Sixed” into a timeless poster. We limited our run to 250 numbered and hand-signed prints with only 200 available online. Once this limited edition print has sold out, it will never be printed again.
DEEP SIXED
13 x 19 inches
Hand-signed and numbered, edition of 250
About Steve Dressler: Steve Dressler is a graduate of Parsons School of Design. He was a featured artist in the 2000 Parsons Illustration Annual Exhibit. He has formed a tight collaboration with The Upright Citizens Brigade over the past decade, which has allowed him to do a wide array of work for notable comedians including Amy Poehler, Horatio Sanz, Aubrey Plaza, Bobby Moynihan, Donald Glover, John Mullaney, Ben Schwartz and Improv Everywhere. He has also designed logos and media packaging for American Express, Minor League Baseball and City University of New York. He is also a frequent contributor to Gawker.com where his designs and illustrations can be seen regularly.

TOMORROW!!!!  NETFLIX, AMAZON, BLOCKBUSTER, HOLLYWOOD VIDEO, SPLINTERHEADSTHEMOVIE.COM and so on and so on!  Be there!

Comments are back and the DVD is out Tuesday February 16th!  It will be available hopefully everywhere, but you can find it at our website - splinterheadsthemovie.com  A DVD bought there is a little more helpful to us.  You’ll find a Splinterheads shirt for sale and a special limited run “something” that I’m still waiting for.  I heard there even may be some cool Geo-swag coming too.

Oh… writing. I hate and love you at the same time.
Splinterheads news - the DVD release was moved up a week to February 16th.  It will be avail at our website splinterheadsthemovie.com, among other places, and has as much extras as they would allow us to stick on there.  We’ll also be having a special limited edition ______________ that I think is a must have.  As soon as it’s ready I’ll share.

To all my Carolina friends - Blackballed: The Bobby Dukes Story & Splinterheads will be playing at the NC Comedy Arts Festival. Def try to see Blackballed on the big screen - it doesn’t happen that often.

I’m ready for 2010!

I’m ready for 2010!

Dec 21

I’ve been away.  Away in writing land.  I’m cranking away at a new script that I’m really stoked on. I ain’t sayin’ anything yet, but it’s gonna be crazy.  When it’s ready I’ll give some hints on what it’s about.
Besides that, Splinterheads opened in Concord, NH this past Friday and we’re almost done editing some special DVD extras.  They’re not officially saying anything yet, but I will, the DVD will be out February 23rd 2010.  It should be available wherever DVD’s are sold.
To my international folks - I heard deals in Australia, Mexico, South America, Germany, France and few others are in the works.  When I get more info I’ll pass it on.
So, Happy Holiday everyone! 2010 is gonna be a lot of fun!  I can’t wait.

New Look for the New Year!

So, I’m messing around with a new look for the blog.  You might see some changes over the next month i.e. background picture, header, etc as I find something that I like.  For now, this background is from the inside of a cave I was in this summer.  Yes, a cave.  I was just visiting it - not taking up residence, though sometimes I think it might be nice.

And Splinterheads will continue to play select theaters around the country until the DVD release in early 2010.  Once I know when that’s being released I’ll leak it.  Expect some funny outtakes and special “stuff” we shot just for the DVD.  Plus a limited must have…… you’ll have to wait and see!

I’m currently knee deep in writing the next project and absolutely loving it.  I can’t wait to start sharing the madness that’s inside my head.

Oh and COMMENTS are disabled until I can figure out where the HTML code goes.  Sorry.

Oh and…

Splinterheads had the 3rd highest per screen average last weekend and was extended for another week at Regal NYC.  If we can keep this up our chances for expanding get better. Hopefully, this weekend will prove the same results and people will start taking notice!
